A UK tabloid run by an NRI has won the top prize in newspaper category in How-Do awards. The name of the tabloid is ‘Asian Lite’ and the person behind it is Anasudhin Aziz of Kerala origin.  Asian Lite is Mancheter based publication that focuses on the events and issues in Britain. The panel that selected Asian Lite for the award has said that the quality and creativity of the content in the newspaper was awesome besides it also publishes content that is apt for the target audience.

Anasudhin Aziz has said that the award was an honour and would help the editorial team stick to its ethics and bring back the lost essence and values of journalism.

He has said that journalism was more than a business and they were trying their best to serve the community in a better way. He has also said that the advertising policy of his magazine was very strict that protects the readers sexual content.

He has said that in the history of five years the team never took the support of psychics, faithe healers, astrologers or sex chat lines.

All in all, it’s a good thing that someone is working towards bringing back core journalism values. (Phani)
