Prince Mahesh replaces Akshay Kumar as BA for Thumps UP at national level

Breaking the jinx that Telugu film stars can’t play the role of brand ambassadors (BA) for MNCs’ products at the national level, Tollywood super star Prince Mahesh Babu has replaced Bollywood hero Akshay Kumar as Brand Ambassador for the Thumps UP soft drink at the national level.

With the contract with Akshay Kumar coming to an end, Thumps Up manufacturing company the Coca-Cola has entered into an agreement with Mahesh Babu to promote the drink at the national level.

Mahesh is already promoting the soft drink in AP but henceforth his commercials featuring him promoting the drink will be viewed all over India. The Prince charges crores of rupees for becoming the brand ambassador even at the state level and his remunerations could run into several multiples of what he charges in AP for his national assignment.

The details of the deal were however kept a top secret and both Mahesh Babu and the Coca-Cola took precautions not to leak the details. This is first time that a Telugu film star has been asked to assume the role of brand ambassador for commercial products at the national level.

Business Man completing 50 days in 350 theaters

Mahesh Babu-starrer Business Man is completing 50 days of screening in 350 theaters tomorrow. Disclosing this in a statement in Hyderabad, co-producer of the movie Mr Suresh Reddy said the film unit will soon plan the sequel to the movie Business Man-2.
