Jubilant Naidu says judgment vindicated his stand
TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, who got a major relief following the dismissal of Pulivendula MLA YS Vijayamma’s petition against him and others by the High Court, said today the judgment proved once again that people who are not guilty need not unduly worry about cases.
“I was not guilty and because of that Vijayamma’s petition was dismissed. If you are not guilty, nothing will happen whatever is the case and whoever files it,” said a jubilant Chandrababu Naidu in a media conference at the TDLP office in the assembly soon after the judgment was delivered.
Chandrababu said Vijayamma filed the petition against him citing the same points and issues mentioned against him by the late YSR in his petition years ago. “For that reason only, the petition was dismissed,” he said adding till now 35 cases were filed against him and all of them were dismissed.
Denying that he has connived with the Government, Chandrababu said there was no reason for him to be hand in glove with the chief minister. Naidu also demanded the dismissal of liquor scam ministers and found fault with the Government for not taking action against congress leaders and ministers who have dozens of wine shops in the name of their servants and attendants.
