Ajay Misra, IAS grilled by CBI in Jagan case
The CBI officials at Hyderabad today spent a busy day quizzing several VIPs for their role in various scams.
Senior IAS officer Mr Ajay Misra was grilled for more than two hours by the sleuths for his role in the illegal assets case involving the YSR Congress party president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy. This is second time Mr Misra has attended a questioning session by the CBI.
Misra, who worked as the Principal Secretary in the department of Infrastructure and investments during the regime of the YSR, is now the Political Secretary to the Government in the General Administration department.
Some top officials of the Jagathi Publications, owned by Jagan, also attended the CBI offices for questioning in connection with the case.
Mining business man Sasikumar met CBI officials this morning in connection with the illegal mining case involving the jailed former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan reddy.
The CBI is likely to question former chief secretary Mr Ramakantha reddy and Mr Parthasaradhi, former APIIC director and brother in law of Rajya Sabha member Mr KVP Ramachandra Rao in connection with the APIIC-Emaar land scam. (JUBS)
