Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's much awaited marriage though simple ended with a grand reception at Delhi yesterday night. It has been the talk of the while nation since more than a week but a controversy has arisen lately that the marriage is not being considered legal despite all the efforts the couple made.

Islamic religious heads have objected the marriage from being legal since Kareena had not converted to be a Muslim before she married Saif.

The Shariah law in Koran mentions that both the bride and the groom should be Muslims to enter into a spousal relationship and hence this marriage would be deemed illegal. The couple should hence follow a set of rules for their community to accept them as legally married.

This has another interesting angle to the rebuttal of their marriage is that Saif might be disowned from the Muslim community whilst treating him as a non-believer. "A Muslim will marry a Muslim, if he/she believes in Islam. As Saif got married to a Hindu girl, the community will treat him as a non-believer in Islam," an Islamic leader.

Regardless of what the religious heads think, love sees no religion.  the lovebirds are now a couple in the eyes of the nation and that is all that matters.
