Sammera Reddy, the highest paid actress?
Bollywood starlet Sameera Reddy has just become the highest paid actress in Sandalwood. The actress, who is entering Kannada film industry in multi-starrer Varadhanayaka has got an expensive pay packet to play one of the female leads in the upcoming movie.
The star received a pay cheque of Rs. 35 Lakhs for her last film ‘Vettai’ from the production house of director Linguswamy, who also directed the film apart from producing it. This was the highest amount that the actress had received till then.
The buzz in the industry about the actress - payment producer Shankara Gowda, who has signed Ms. Reddy for his film Varadhanayaka said. “Yes, the actress has been paid a huge some that is the highest payment that she had received ever and the highest payment paid to an actress for a Kannada film.” But, the producer did not disclose the exact amount. Shankare Gowda has admitted that the amount paid to the 29-year-old is the highest ever for an actress in Sandalwood.
Sameera Reddy will be seen doing the role of Sudeep's wife in Varadhanayaka. The movie produced by Ayyappa P and produced by Shankare Gowda also features Chiranjeevi Sarja and Nikesha Patel.
