Yesterday media was hit with reports that a private bank has called for auction of Rajinikanth properties for failing to pay a sum of Rs 22 crores. In regards to this matter, the Superstar's wife Latha Rajinikanth's name got involved. The production company Mediaone Global Entertainment today issued a press release, stating that neither Rajinikanth nor his wife has nothing to do with the financial matter.

Further the statement from Mediaone company said, they are in process of clearing the loan by March 31st of 2015 and requested the media not to publish any report involving Mrs. Latha Rajinikanth's name. It is said that Mediaone production house borrowed Rs 22 crores from EXIM Bank for the making of Rajinikanth's 'Kochadaiiyaan' a motion capture film that involves lot of visual effects. The film was directed by Rajini's daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth and was made with a budget of Rs 120 crores.
