Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor will play Sanjay Dutt in his biopic which will be directed Rajkumar Hirani. Sanjay Dutt is one of the most controversial actors in Bollywood and his life has many twists and turns. His professional and personal life had many ups and down but with Munnabhai MBBS, Sanjay turned a good boy and in fact more popular then ever.

Be it the Mumbai 1993 blasts, martial crisis, getting involved in drugs, Sanjay is now serving a jail term in Pune prison. Director Rajkumar Hirani is a very close friend of Sanjay and was also the director of Munnabhai series which brought a new image to him. Hirani has been working on Sanjay's biopic for a while and after huge deliberations, he approached Ranbir Kapoor. The Barfi star gave a nod and is all excited to play Sanjay Dutt on screen.

Currently, Rajkumar Hirani is busy with Aamir Khan's 'PK' which will release in December.
