Bollywood producer Karan Johar has announced his new project and it will be a biopic of none other than the great hockey player Dhyan Chand. Revealing the details of it, Karan posted in his Twitter account, he along with his friends bought the right to make the biopic of Dhyan Chand. However, Karan did not comment anything about the lead role and seems like the cast is yet to be decided.

Dhyan Chand happens to be the most successful and remembered Indian field hockey player of all time. He earned three Olympic gold medals in field of hockey and it was also the time, when India was dominating the world in hockey. Dhyan Chand scored over 400 goals in his career and he died in the year 1979.

Bollywood has proved to be successful platform for biopics with the likes of Lagaan, Chak De India, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and the recent Mary Kom.
