This week caste bad luck for the movie makers and others connected to the movies but more to the players of the lead roles- heroine Priyamani because of Chandi and Sharwanand because of Satya-2.

Priyamani is a gifted artist with good looks and acting talent.  She won National Award at the beginning of her career.  But her luck has slowed her down.  When she had a chance of coming again to embark to the top, her latest movie Chandi let her down.

Same thing happened with Sharwananda.  His roles in Gamyam and Prasthanam are very good and he did justice to those roles but as his bad luck has it, he did not get the hype in spite of it simply because the movies did not click.  And again Satya-2 pulled him further back.

The failure of movies at box office should not be attributed to the actors and actresses in fact.  It doesn’t affect in case of heroines with a role of showing their glamour but nothing else.  But it is not so in case of the roles with prominence in the story.

The reason is the face of a hero or heroine reminds of their previous films and the bad or good taste it leaves to the audience.  Director and other technicians come next.

That is the reason why even ad agencies go for the successful actors and actresses because their face whould get goodwill to the product also.
