Tom Cruise didn't want to be dragged to the court of law and reportedly went for the speedy settlement. The 5-year-old star, Tom Cruise, who is one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood, would now be a seperated man. Notably, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have a six-year-old daughter.

The agreement stated that the daughter would stay with 33-year-old Katie Holmes. However, Tom Cruise would pay visit to Katie's home to meet his daughter regularly. A leading daily in the United States published the mutual statement of Cruise-Holmes, which stated that they respect each other's roles as parents.
