Karthi's Sakuni to hit theatres June 22

Karthi who has from his first film moved away from the shades of his elder brother Surya and created a own niche for himself. He has fans all acrosss south and especially in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. His latest flick Sakuni is again a bi-lingual and as per souces will hit theatres across the globe on June 22. with the Billa 2 being postponed thia should be the right moment for the Karthi flick in Tamil Nadu. In Andhra Pradesh he has a special dubbing market and this would be ideal time too say sources. The film is slated to be released with 1000 prints globally and Andhra  Pradesh is supposed to go with 400 prints. Infact most low budget direct films in the tollywood do not release films with so many prints.

Yet the anticipation seems to be building up in both the tinsel worlds with heavy promotion being done. Also the good news is that the film has cleared the censor boards and the `U' certificate has been awarded for the Tamil Version and `U/A' for the Telugu version. Songs by GV Prakash have received a fair response in both the states.  Directed by debutant Shankar Dayal, the film has Karthi and Pranitha in lead roles with Santhanam for comic relief. It's a political satire with Karthi playing mind games, thus the title. Expectations are high among Karthi fans as the actor is back with a movie after almost a year.
