Story

The movie starts on a different note. RaNa is being introduced as a most selfish person, who has a habit of turning all Good, when he is drunk. Geneilia, on the other hand is a girl who lived in dreams and also aspires to make the same a reality. She also has a guy in her life (Harshavardhan), whom she aspires to meet at Malaysia and get married. When Genei reaches Malaysia, her love does not turn up. And in this process, when Genei is alone surrounded by a gang of trouble some guys, RaNa who is in his senses (when he is drunk) rescues Geneilia, but the next day RaNa wakes up and realizes that he has lost 10 lakhs in rescuing Genei. He takes her back to India, explains the situation to Genei’s father and takes back the sum. But, later when RaNa realizes that he is in love with Genei… the rest all twists and turns and what’s with Genei’s so called Love, should be seen on silver screen…

Analysis :

Naa Ishtam

The movie as expected may not make a path breaking mark at the box office. The movie failed to make a connection with the audience and the box office. A movie with a repeated story with a few twists and turns including a direction that has gone haywire seems to be its huge negative aspect. The director also failed in unfolding the story smoothly to the audiences.

Performance :

Naa Ishtam

RaNa seemed to have worked very hard to get rid of his earlier earned image and get into the image of a proper commercial hero. His acting skills, dance and dialogue modulation shows this off. Geneilia was at her best as she plays the role of a bubbly girl in this flick as well. Rest all artists like Harshavardhan Rane Ali, Bhramanandham, Chithram Srinu, Raghu did their bit.The director Prakash Tolleti has missed his mark with more than half of the movie. The movie seems to be illogical in the first half where the hero is helping people when he is not sober. He also takes the heroine back and then elopes with her back to the same place. The story seems to be going in big round circles. He does make a comeback in the second half but still does not make any connection whatsoever with the audience. Music was fair enough as there are one or two numbers that would attract us. But definitely not the best as such. .
