KCR Felicitates PV Sindhu August 23, 2016 09:53

Indian bandminton player PV Sindhu created a sensation in the prestigious Rio Olympics and won silver medal for the country, probably the first silver medal for a woman in olympics for India. She has been lauded all over the country and flown with wishes. PV Sindhu returned back to the country yesterday and she received stupendous reception from the people and the government of the Telangana state. She has been felicitated specially in Gachibowli stadium, Hyderabad after which she personally met Telangana Chief Minister KCR at his camp office. KCR congratulated PV Sindhu and her coach Pullela Gopichand personally. KCR announced a cash prize of Rs 5 crore for PV Sindhu and a plot (1000 sq. ft) along with a government job. Pullela Gopichand has been awarded Rs 1 crore for traning her. PV Sindhu has been quite happy with the response she received in Hyderabad.

Khaidi No 150 First Poster is Here August 22, 2016 18:48

Megastar Chiranjeevi is making his comeback to mainstream cinema after a gap of nine years and on the occasion of his 61st birthday the makers of his comeback film revealed the title of the film along with the motion poster and the movie posters. VV Vinayak is directing this movie which has been titled as Khaidi No 150. Kajal Agarwal is the female lead in the movie and it is the remake of Tamil super hit film Kaththi. The makers arranged a grand teaser launch event today at Shilpakala Vedika in which the whole Mega family will make their presence. Chiranjeevi who spends his birthday outside Hyderabad will not be available for the event. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for Khaidi No 150 and Rathnavelu is the cineamatographer. Konidela Production Company is producing the movie which will hit the screens during  Sankranthi next year.

He is back with his second film as director which has been titled Jyo Achyutananda. Nara Rohit, Naga Shourya and Regina Cassandra are playing the lead roles in the film which completed the entire shoot recently. The romantic entertainer is said to be a love triangle and the makers released the audio in a grand event last night.   Jyo Achyutananda theatrical trailer too has been launched during the event which has been highly impressive. The trailer has been fresh, engaging, entertaining and refreshing throughout. It has been cut in such a way that the trailer raises lot of curiosity among the audience. Kalyan Ramana composed the music and Venkat C Dilip is the cinematographer. Sai Korrapati is producing Jyo Achyutananda on Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram banner. Venkatesh will be seen in a new look in the film and he will be seen as a boxing coach in the film. Ritika Singh will reprise her role from the original. Rio on Sunday witnessed a glittering colorful closing ceremony after 16 days of outstanding sporting events at the Marcana stadium in Rio. Rio Olympics 2016 was announced as closed in the closing ceremony and the 2020 Summer Olympic Games host Tokyo took up the baton promising the best Olympic games ever. Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe said, “The Japan’s government will work hard so it will be the best Olympics ever.”India Finished its Olympic campaign at 67th spot with winning one silver and one bronze medal by PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik respectively. Sakshi Malik was also the flag bearer of India at the closing ceremony as PV Sindhu returned to India on Saturday. Olympics chief Thomas Bach said, “These were marvelous Olympic games in the marvelous city. These Olympic Games are leaving a unique legacy for generations to come. History will talk about Rio de Janeiro before and much better Rio de Janeiro after the Olympic Games.”United States basketball team defeated Serbia 96-66, just before the closing ceremony, to win the final gold medal in the game and finishing the camping at the first place with winning 46 golds to Great Britain and China who finished second and third with winning 27 and 26 golds respectively. The host country Brazil celebrated the the famous football win when the Brazilian team defeated Germany, under Neymar, in the penalty shootout revenging their infamous 7-1 loss in World Semi finals in 2014. A swimming legend, Michael Phelps, by winning five gold at Rio Olympics and a silver, took his medal tally to 23 in his Olympic career. The fastest man on earth, Usain Bolt who has announced his retirement after the 2017 world championship, won three gold medals in Rio at 100m, 200m and 4x100m event taking his Olympic medal tally to nine after winning the same in London and Beijing Olympics. The security and the logistical problems were at its peak during the South America’s first Olympics. But it was kept under control by the authorities as the audience saw an outstanding performance by many Olympic athletes of the different countries. Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi is going to celebrate his 61st birthday today along his family and friends. Chiru was born on 22nd  August 1955,  in Mogalthur, a small village near Narsapur, Andhra Pradesh. He did his schooling in Nidadavolu, Gurajala, Bapatla, Ponnuru, Mangalagiri and Mogalturu.  He also participated in Republic day Parade in New Delhi as NCC Cadet in early 70s. After the completion of Degree in Commerce, he came to Mumbai and joined Madras Film Institute in 1976. His elder brother Nagababu is a film producer and he has also acted in several movies and young brother Power Star Pawam Kalyan is also an actor in Tollywood. His brother-in-law Allu Arvind is film producer. He has two daughters Sushmita and Srija and a son, Ram Charan. He started his career with the movie ‘Punadhirallu’ whereas his first released movie was ‘Prenam Khareedu’. He got recognition in the film industry by Bapu’s directorial venture ‘Mana Voori Pandavulu’. His popular movies are Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, Gang Leader, Gharana Mogudu, Mutha Mestri, Hitler, Choodalani Vundi, Sneham Kosam, Indra,  Aapadbandhavudu, Stalin, Shankar Dada M.B.B.S. and Shankar Dada Zindabad.  Megastar also received Padma Bhushan in the year 2006. He is the ten-time winner of Filmfare Awards South and a four time winner of Nandi Awards. Whole Nation has been praising Olympic silver medalist PV Sindhu for her outstanding performance. Telangana government has organized rousing state reception for Sindhu whose flight landed in Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport from Brazil on Monday morning.Sindhu was accompanied by her coach Pullela Gopichand. Her parents welcomed their daughter and scenes of jubilation and loud cheers from scores of people were heard.Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali and some ministers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were also present at the airport.Sindhu showed her silver medal, and also waved to the cheering crowd from the open-top-motorcade. FIRs Booked Against Stalin & 60 Others August 22, 2016 10:42

Two FIRs were registered by the Fort police station against opposition leader M.K. Stalin and 60 others.The case was registered for unlawful assembly without permission in a restricted area. On August 18 the first FIR was registered when DMK MLAs staged a dharna in front of the Assembly. Second FIR was registered on August 19 after DMK MLAs and members conducted a mock assembly outside the state Secretariat to protest the mass suspension of MLAs from the Assembly.The city police top brass on Saturday night transferred out Flower Bazaar Deputy Commissioner R. Sakthivel and gave additional charge to Washermenpet DC, S. Jayakumar.  The Fort police station comes under the Flower Bazaar DC's jurisdiction.Police said that “DMK treasurer and Leader of Opposition M.K. Stalin and DMK MLAs, including deputy leader Durai Murugan, have been booked for violation of a regulatory order inside the State Secretariat. The Leader of the opposition Stalin and 78 other party MLAs were suspended for a week by Assembly Speaker P. Dhanapal on Wednesday. Yogeshwar Dutt Faced Shocking Defeat In 65Kg Freestyle Wrestling August 22, 2016 10:35

Yogeshwar Dutt, India’s one of the top wrestlers, faced a shocking defeat in a qualification round as he was beaten by Mongolia’s Gonzorigiin Mandakhnaran and ended India’s Olympic campaign with two medals in total won by Sakshi Malik and PV Sindhu in 58 kg women’s freestyle and women’s singles badminton event respectively at Rio Olympics 2016Yogeshwar Dutt, who had won a bronze medal at London Olympics, had to depend on his Mongolian opponent to stay his hopes alive to go forward in the tournament. However, as Mandakhnaran lost in the quarter finals, it was all over for Dutt as well as for India. He showed extremely poor show at the match and the 33-year old wrestler from Haryana lost to the Mongolian grappler 0-3. Mandakhnaran showed some outstanding skills and played at a good pace and Dutt had no answer for his skills. Dutt, who qualified for Rio Olympics in March after a knee injury, could not score the required points in the second half as well after being trailing 0-3 till the break which resulted into his shocking defeat in the 65 Kg freestyle event. Although in last minute he tried to pin down his opponent but all his efforts went in vain as he could not capitalize on it. With Yogeshwar Dut’s shocking ousting from the Rio Olympics, India have finished it’s Olympic campaign with winning one silver and one bronze respectively by PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik.
