No false records please - Rajamouli August 28, 2015 12:35

With today, Baahubali, the Indian proud epic movie completes 50 days run in all the major theaters.Reacting on this, Baahubali director Rajamouli says, “Counting the number of days for a movie is a past thing, now the movie is dependent on the number of opening screens and after a satisfied run for 3-4 weeks, it has to make a way for other films to come.”“Some fans are requesting for the extension of days for Baahubali in the theaters and are paying out from their pockets. We would get nothing from those false records. Audience already gave us a memorable success, so please stop all these. As of now, Baahubali will run in the theaters that are yielding shares,” Rajamouli said. Rajamouli is such a director, who believes and loves cinema. He does not show even a mild difference between his films or other films, he treats whole industry as one. In the past, he was the one, who came forward to declare that Attharintiki Daredi movie crossed Magadheera records. In fact when Pawan Kalyan applauded Baahubali movie, responding to him, Rajamouli said, if Pawan Kalyan has chosen a right film, the Telugu film might have crossed Rs.100 crores long back and further said that Pawan still holds the opening day collections record.  Along with this, he applauds most of the Telugu movies, when a poster, teaser or any such is released. Along with technical brilliance, Rajamouli even has a mental brilliance and that is making him to rule the Tollywood on an empty road, with no competition behind. Hats off to Rajamouli, the pride of Telugu cinema.By Phanindra

Neither opposition parties nor Pawan Kalyan is supporting the land pooling. So regarding this, Naidu spoke in the public meeting yesterday and said, “Andhra Pradesh already lost much in the recent times, many opposition parties are trying to target AP state and obstructing the development, no more such attempts will be encouraged.”“I already spoke to NITI AYOG and Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the injustice done to AP, I am even ready to talk to Pawan Kalyan soon and take the possible steps towards the land pooling.”“No one should commit suicides for special status for AP or involve in any other serious issues. Without the special status, AP is going to lose more,” Naidu said. 25 committees could not move me an inch - Naidu    Countering the opposition comments, Naidu said, “The leaders who are commenting about the corruption in TDP, should know about their own status. During YS Rajashekar Reddy government, 25 committees could not move me an inch, I’m going to complete Polavaram project and give water to Rayalaseema and also perform Patti seems projects works.”However it seems, Naidu is not in a position to compromise in any issue, especially land pooling, but Pawan is also very strict about the land pooling. Yesterday, central minister Venkaiah Naidu invited the local and international investors to come forward and invest in the smart city mission, assuring them that, they would return with profits.     Venkaiah Naidu released smart cities list, where 98 cities are included. In the list, Uttar Pradesh got the largest share of developing 13 smart cities, followed by Tamil Nadu, which got 12 cities in its list. Speaking in the meeting, Venkaiah Naidu said, “Both national and international investors are looking for opportunities in the backdrop of the recent financial crisis, people are searching for safe investments. I offer smart cities as the safest investment because land is going to be there, structures are going to be there, so the returns are assured.” Also read: Prestigious smart city projects clearedThe Smart City Mission promotes integrated city planning, where the government’s policies such as Swachh Bharat Mission and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation complement each other, with an aim to achieve “inclusive growth”.  Answering about the delays in the project approvals at the state level, Venkaiah Naidu said, “The new parameters are set in such a way, that it can “perform or perish”. Due to this the ministry imposes fines on the states that delay the project for more than 60 days. So no municipal councils can miss the opportunity of recasting the country’s urban landscape.”   “I held three consultations with the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Defence Ministry and the Ministry of Environment,” Venkaiah Naidu said.   The above mentioned 98 cities and towns will be developed into smart cities within five years, by Urban Development Ministry, providing 100 crores to each city. The finance generation at the state level and through the private investments will be a part in the success of the smart cities mission. Already Rs.48000 crores are set aside by the government and the state governments are required to generate another Rs.48000 crores, and thus develop the smart cities with a huge amount of Rs.96000 crores, Venkaiah Naidu said.By Phanindra

Common blood test can predict future hypertension risk August 27, 2015 19:26

The researchers at Johns Hopkins Medicine have found that a common blood test which is used to verify heart muscle damage from heart attacks could also identify future risk of developing hypertension. People with higher levels of the cardiac regulatory protein troponin T are more likely to be diagnosed with hypertension within a few years. For the study, the researcher’s analyzed blood samples obtained in the late 1980s and early 1990s from more than 5,000 people enrolled in a long-term multicenter research known as the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities Study. None of the participants had clinical diagnosis of hypertension at the beginning of the study although a small subgroup but about 27 percent had high-normal blood pressures. "Our data suggest that the high-sensitivity troponin test could flag people with normal blood pressure in the doctor's office who are at high risk for hypertension and other poor outcomes," Elizabeth Selvin, senior study investigator, said in a statement. The study was published in the journal Circulation.  By Lizitha

Women live longer than men, finds study August 27, 2015 19:03

Life expectancy of people in India has increased by 6.9 years for men between 1990 and 2013 and 10.3 years for women during the same period, according to the study. “Biologically, women are considered stronger and their survival tendencies are better than men. But sociologically, women tend to get treated far less than men in India,” said Dr. Nobhojit Roy, surgeon and public health specialist from BARC Hospital, Mumbai.According to the survey conducted in 2013, the top ten causes of disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) in both sexes in India were from ischemic heart disease, COPD, TB, lower respiratory infections, neonatal preterm birth, neonatal encephalopathy, diarrhoea, stroke, road injuries, and low back and neck pain. The fastest-growing leading causes of health loss for Indian men between 1990 and 2013 were self-harm, ischemic heart disease and stroke, which increased at rates of 149.9 per cent, 79.9 per cent, and 59.8 per cent respectively. In the case of women, the largest increases among the leading causes of disability-adjusted life years occurred for ischemic heart disease (69 per cent), depressive disorders (66.1 per cent), and stroke (36.8 per cent). Only ischemic heart disease was among the 10 leading causes of health loss for women in 1990.The scientists found that stroke and depressive disorders are new causes of health loss seen in 2013 but not in 1990 in Indian women. “More awareness of mental health issues and better detection and documentation could be one of the reasons for depressive disorders to show up in the list,” said Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, Director-General of the Indian Council of Medical Research.By Lizitha

Srimanthudu new scenes August 27, 2015 16:42

Director Koratala Siva added new scenes in Srimanthudu movie, as per the demand of the audience. When a movie gets negative talk, the makers tries to trim the movie, by cutting a few of the boring scenes. But when a movie is successful and fetching good profits, the makers add the scenes, after a good number of days of movie release. Right from the beginning, this is being carried on as a tradition. In fact, in the recent times, Attharinti Daredi, Mirchi movie makers also added extra scenes after a month of release date. Now it is the time for Srimanthudu movie makers to follow this tradition.  Now, 3 weeks after the release of Srimanthudu, director Koratala Siva has added two scenes in the movie. Among them, one scene is Villain Sampath warning Rajendra Prasad and others to surrender their lands and the other one is, Shruti Haasan, Rajendra Prasad and the entire villagers are about to leave the village. The second scene is seen in Srimanthudu trailer in the beginning and also in Srimanthudu posters. But the director kept the scene aside during the editing, but upon the demand from the fans, he has now decided to put the scene, along with Sampath warning scene.      As of now, Srimanthudu crossed Attharintiki Daredi records recently, and is just next to Baahubali. The film is expected to make more profits, with newly added scenes.    By Phanindra
