Chandrababu Naidu all set to woo voters
Telugu Desam Party has got a historical significance in Andhra Pradesh politics. Started with an aim to protect the interests of Telugus at the national level, legendary actor NT Rama Rao aka NTR established the party on March 29,1982. And the party went into the public like no other political party. NTR apparently never looked behind although he had a few hiccups by the ruling Congress. In fact, it was the second largest party in the eighth Lok Sabha in 1984. It has got 39 MPs.

When Chandrababu Naidu took over the leadership, he too played an active role by taking forward the ideologies of his father-in-law NTR. Besides adhering to ideologies of NTR, Chandrababu Naidu tried to implement his own vision. When he was concentrating on the urban development, a few Congress leaders took that for an advantage to allegedly project him as a man against rural development and farming. And the party lost its power to Congress in 2004.

Now, that people in the state are reportedly fed up with the Congress governance in the state, they are looking for another alternative. Can TDP gain the public confidence and come back to power, is the question, which has been doing rounds in the Internet and political circles too. To ensure that TDP should come to power with a bang, Chandrababu Naidu is presumably reviving the party and making certain promises to woo the voters.

BC vote bank: Chandrababu Naidu might have thought that his apparent negligence towards the backward communities in the state proved costly to the party. Therefore, he is trying to attract the voters from BC communities. As a part of the same, Chandrababu Naidu said special reservations would be provided to BCs in legislature the moment TDP comes to power.

Bonalu festival: There has been a long pending demand by certain sections of people in Telangana region demanding that bonalu festival should be declared as a state festival. Chandrababu Naidu, who ignored this demand when he was in power, seemed to have introspect. He came out with a statement ensuring that Bonalu would be declared a state festival. The political analysts said that this statement would apparently fetch him scores of votes from Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Decision on Telangana: Chandrababu Naidu, who has been under criticism by Telangana sympathizers, for not coming to a clear stand on Telangana is reportedly looking forward to putting a check to bad mouths. He declared that TDP's stand on Telangana would be announced soon as talks were underway with the party's leaders on the same subject.

Rise in prices: People are undoubtedly fed up with hike in prices of essential commodities. And Chandrababu Naidu is fighting against the same for winning the public confidence. He reportedly raised the issue of steep hike in essential commodities n number of times and people apparently got fascinated towards Babu's speeches.

In case Congress doesn't look into these four issues timely, which are the only tools for TDP to come to power, it will reportedly lose its power in 2014 and once TDP comes to power, it will be very hard for the alternative Congress to eye the governance.
