In less than four months of her arrival in Mumbai from New York, where she studied film making and liberal arts, 18 year old Athiya, daughter of Suneil Shetty, had already received several offers from the filmmakers in Bollywood to play lead roles in their movies.

Suneil and Reshma both have no inhibitions regarding Athiya’s choice of her career and in fact have said that they would help her chalk out her future course of action, sources close to the family said. They also said that Athiya always wanted to return to India, precisely Mumbai, after she finished her education in US.

They also said that Athiya was always allowed to take her own decisions as they, Reshma and Suneil Shetty, have bolstered her decisions. Reshma had impressed her husband and several others after she displayed acute managerial skills in Salman’s career which have seen huge amount of success ever since.
The parents however could not be reached to talk about the Athiya’s career.
