Original superstar Rajesh Khanna's first love and ex-girlfriend, Anju Mahedroo has attended the prayer meet held for late legendary actor. Anju Mahendroo was a fashion designer and actress who was in a relationship with the late actor for about seven years. Then after the couple broke, they were said to have not spoke to each other for more than 14 years. Rajesh Khanna eventually married 16-year-old Dimple Kapadia. Later, Anju Mahendroo too married someone else and settled in life.

If buzz is to be believed, Rajesh Khanna tried to suppress the acting career of Anju Mahendroo after the break-up. Anju Mahendroo received critical acclaim for her character role in Jewel Thief. She last acted in Dirty Picture movie as a journalist.
