Actress Madhuri Dixit Nene has at last signed for Vishal Bhardwaj’s new film as the female lead in Dedh Ishqiya.

After Madhuri came back to India, rumors were hanging in the air that she will replace Vidya Balan in the sequel to the 2010 hit Ishqiya. After a series of denials of rumours, the 44 years old Bollywood beauty  finally confirmed it on Twitter. She will be judging the fifth season of dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Ja for the second time. Her tweet was, "Hey guys, back in action. On sets for Star's Life OK. Am doing Dedh Ishqiya. 'Jhalak' right around the corner. More to come!"

The rural drama directed by Abhishek Chaubey had opened to rave reviews and huge box office collections produced by Vishal Bhardwaj.

Recently, in an interview given to PTI, Vidya Balan, spoke about the sequel of Ishqiya, had said, "In the first part, the two men (Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi come to my village to meet me. In the next part, they will go elsewhere, so obviously they will meet someone new and not me. Anyways, I like Madhuri Dixit and I'm happy that she is in the sequel."
