Jyothi Lakshmi (Charmee) who is a prostitute by profession, falls in love with Satya(Satyadev), who is a Software Engineer. The latter proposes the former after his several meetings at her home.
Jyothi Lakshmi, who is impressed with Satyadev completely, decides to leave her past and start a new life. This transformation puts her in several troubles. Finding the solutions for it, follows the rest of the story.
The movie kick starts on a strong note, the narration has been terrific. Puri typical style of bold episodes in the first half, thoroughly entertains the masses. On the whole, though there are few dips, the first half thoroughly entertains.
Whatever the expectations formed after watching the first half, all of those are brutally murdered in the second half. Many scenes are not written well and so appear clumsy. Not even a 10% of the first half quality, was observed in the second half and so remains a failure.
Charmi, who is previously identified well with ‘Manthra’, has rewritten that image with terrific performance in Jyothi Lakshmi. Satyadev tops the list of most talked about characters after Charmi, in the film. He is given his best output for the character. Rest others are good on their part.
Though not the story, at least Puri has the ability of drawing the crowds at the theatre with his massy dialogues. But this time, the director even failed in that aspect too. In fact, not only those dialogues, even screenplay dips the movie.
The songs and the music are impressive and so is the background score. The editing has been decent and the production values have been grand. Puri took the content with the intention of delivering a social message, but failed to put it on the screen.
Strictly for Charmi and Puri fans, who are capable of digesting the movie, however it is.
