Post ‘Dabanng’ Salman Khan’s popularity as an Actor emerged to that of an Icon. His block buster success and the role played by him as ‘Chul Bul Pandey’, made a very positive affect on the release of his another film, ‘Ready’. No, matter what, in his every film, Sallu never gives up on emoting a comic touch with his character. His film, ‘Body Guard’ has released today as an Eid’s gift to all those die hard admirers of Sallu Bhai. Story:
Lovely Singh (Salman Khan) is a very sincere man, who works as a Body Guard for Divya (Kareena Kapoor), who is a daughter of a successful businessman Satraj Rana (Raj Babbar). The first half of the film revolves around why did Satraj appointed for a body guard for his dayghter, how lovely makes sure that he monitors each and every moment of Divya not leaving her alone even in the College and even during the class, and how diya gets pissed off, tries to play a prank on Lovely and so that he could leave her, if Divya manages to hurt him. Then arises a twist before the interval of the film.
Even the second half revolves around revealing certain shocking facts about Lovely Singh that becomes unable for Divya to digest. And does Lovely and Divya fall for each other, what are those facts that run the rest of the film, are to be seen on Silver Screen.
Analysis & Performance:
The major USP of the film is Salman Khan. His performance as a Body Guard, his body language and his hard work to make the appearance look realistic definitely worked out positive for the film. Kareena Kapoor had some job to do in this flick, apart from a skin show, like other films of her. The look of Bebo gives a refreshing feel for the audience. Other roles in the film did their best to fit into the story. Overall, the film is a complete entertainer, with some un expected twists that hold the enthusiasm among the audience to sit back and watch the film. The Music of the film, composed by Himesh Rshmiya, sounded quiet new, as this music director has composed the music scores for a film, after certain Gap. Most important to quote be the director of the film, Siddique is worth to be appreciated. A special appearance of Katrina Kaif in a song sequence with Salman Khan also entertains the audience. He managed to maintain the connect in the film. Overall, the film is a complete ‘Sallu Bhai’ kind a film.
