Chennai beauty Trisha Krishnan, who is of late struggling to score a decent hit, looks to be banking on superstar Rajinikanth's charisma to revive her career.
Trisha is lately in news for signing to play the lead role in the Telugu-Tamil remake of the hit Hindi film 'NH 10' starring Anushka Sharma. The Bollywood film revolves around a young couple on a road trip. How the leading lady faces a group of criminals on the trip forms the crux of the story. The film deals with honor killing. It has attained both critical acclaim and commercial success.
Meanwhile, reports are emerging that the Tamil remake could possibly be titled 'Garjanai', which is also the title of a 1981 film starring Superstar' Rajinikanth. An official announcement about Trisha's involvement in the remake and the title has yet to be made. Anushka Sharma's powerful performance in NH 10 was appreciated and she received multiple nominations at award events. This south remake will be a perfect re-launch for the ailing career of Trisha.
It may be noted that Trisha is also in talks to essay the lead role in the path breaking Bollywood film Queen, which made Kangana Ranaut the numero uno actress.
