When the south film industry, at a point of time, is busy in making the movies with the regular and repeated formula, Bharatheeyudu is one such film, which showed variation and took the standard of the south films to the next level.

Well framed story, engaging screenplay, universal star Kamal Haasan’s extraordinary acting as an old man and director Shankar’s taking and many such things, witnessed what a south film never did.

The movie has recently completed 20 years and has even occupied a place on the trending list on twitter with the tag #20YearsForIndian, reminding that the craze for the film never dies.

It was then, the film’s producer AM Ratnam developed a thought of making the second part for the film. Reportedly, he even approached recently director Shankar for it and the latter gave his nod too.   

However, Shankar is currently busy with his dream project Robo 2.0 and would not think about any other film, until completing it. So reportedly, only by next year, the legendary director would sit on Bharatheeyudu script work.   

Once the script got ready, Shankar along with AM Ratnam, would contact Kamal Haasan and then proceed with the project. Even Kamal is eager to make the sequel to the film, that took his nationwide popularity to the next level.

So, where does this exciting project with the same combination leads to, in the present generation, is to be seen.
