Tollywood is getting threatened with ‘2’ sentiment for quite some time, as none of the movies are securing success, if the sequel to the earlier hit movies were made.

Along with big movies like Arya 2, Shankardada Zindabad, even the recent Kick 2, had to face the disaster at the box office.

Even then, it seems, the makers are least concerned about the ‘2’ sentiment and so are making the sequels. (Though few movies do not have 2 in title, they got popularized with 2 number).

Coming to 2016, Pawan Kalyan and Prabhas are coming forward with the sequels of their earlier blockbuster films, Gabbar Singh and Baahubali.

After 10 years of struggle, finally, Pawan Kalyan has emerged as the huge star and crowned as the king of Tollywood, with the huge success of Gabbar Singh. The magic of fun gun, created by Gabbar Singh, cannot be forgettable by Telugu movie lovers, so soon.

Pawan, who identified this, got prepared for the 2nd part and titled it as Sardaar Gabbar Singh. The pre-released teaser, was immensely appreciated with millions of views on YouTube.

So the makers are expecting the similar response for the movie too. Unless and until the movie has double fun elements than Gabbar Singh, it would be tough to recreate Gabbar Singh’s magic.

On the other side, Prabhas has redefined the stamina of Telugu cinema, and earned popularity across the world, with the immense success of Baahubali. Rajamouli is keen on making the second part too, a huge success.

While Sardaar Gabbar Singh would be out in Summer, Baahubali - The Conclusion, would be released by the year end. As both movies are more anticipated ones, and has two big stars, hope the ‘2’ sentiment, would no more get the chance of threatening Tollywood.
