Music Maestro Illayaraja song for Olympics 2012

Will Music maestro Illayaraja's song be in the chart of 86 tracks to be played at the London Olympics scheduled in the September, is speculated by a media report. As per a British leaked media report the song from Ram Lakshman (1981) is to be played in the opening ceremony of the games.

'Naandhaan Ungappanda...' from 'Ram Lakshman' stars Kamal Haasan and Sripriya and is crooned by SP Balasubramaniam. This will be one among the 86 tracks that includes Michael Jackson, latest sensation Adele, Amy Winehouse and several others as per the media report. Sources says that Illayaraja was surprised that a lesser- known composition was chosen. An official word is awaited on the confirmation.

The eyes of the world will be on London for the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. The Ceremony will provide an opportunity for the world to view the artistic expression of the Artistic Director (Danny Boyle) and his team, and the culture of our Host City and the UK. There are certain elements that must feature in every Ceremony, as outlined in the International Olympic Committee (IOC) charter. The artistic performance of the Ceremony then gets underway and welcomes the world to the London 2012 Games.  (With inputs from internet-AarKay)
