Small Budget Films, are they making it big?

MaheshNTRThese days along with some big budget films making rounds at T – Town, n number of small and average budget films is actually ruling the industry. Actually, if we observe, there was no big budget film that has been released in the industry after Allu Arjun’s ‘Badrinath’. And even some of the well known heroes are keen in keeping a control over the production cost that would in turn prove profitable to the film maker. And moreover, small and average budget films are a better option as even if a film turns out to be an average success, the film maker would get his invested amount.

As of now, only Jr. N.T.R’s ‘Oosaravelli’ and Mahesh’s ‘Dookudu’ are considered to be high budget films and even these films ka budget is not so high when compared to the earlier films of these two actors. Not to forget, even the last success of Naga Chaitanya, ‘100% Love’, directed by Sukumar and Produced by Allu Arvind was made within a budget of 10 crores and the movie after its released earned 10 times more than the invested amount. As such, there are n number of films, that has released recently, be it ‘Mugguru’, ‘Naku Oka Lover Undi’, ‘Keratam’, ‘Nenu Nanna Abhaddam’, Aakasame Haddu’ and all those Tamil films dubbed in Telugu, and most of these films have fared well at the box office too.

Finally, the film makers have understood it is not about the production cost, but the taking, entertaining way of storytelling that makes a film a success.
