The actress who did glamorous roles during her early days of her career has been signing challenging roles. She excelled and performed with ease in her recent outings which made her one among the highest paid actresses of Indian cinema. Kangana Ranaut has been occupied with interesting movies and she signed Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi in the direction of Tollywood director Krish. The young director scored a massive hit with Gautamiputra Satakarni which released early this year. The movie features Balakrishna and marks his 100th film as an actor.

Now Krish started shooting for Manikarnika in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad recently and some crucial episodes are being shot. Kangana Ranaut has been shooting and reharsing without any breaks for the movie. During the shoot of the film, Kangana Ranaut has been badly injured while she was shooting for an action episode. The makers wanted to shoot the action episode with a body double however the actress rejected it. She practised it so much and the scene was being shot after she was pretty confident.

Kangana Ranaut injured her forehead badly while shooting with her co-star Nihar Pandya. It was a huge misfire that the sword of Nihar cut her forehead badly. She has been rushed to the hospital after which she had 15 stitches in total on her forehead. The actress had her timing wrong because of which the incident took place. She has been quite brave and she was rushed to the hospital. The doctor advised bed rest for couple of weeks and the actress is expected to opt for a cosmetic surgery soon after the shoot of the movie gets wrapped up. Some crucial action episodes are shot and the movie’s shoot has been called off. The movie is being shot in multiple languages and it has been aimed for summer 2018 release.
