Veteran film maker Edida Nageswara Rao passes away

The veteran filmmaker Edida Nageswara Rao (81) passed away yesterday in Hyderabad. He left his last breath at a private hospital in the city.

His body was brought to Shankarabharam Nivasam in Film Nagar Road No 8, Hyderabad. The film and political biggies like Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun, Rajendra Prasad, visited his residence and are offering the condolences. His last rights will be performed in the evening at Mahaprasthanam in Film Nagar.

Edida Nageswara Rao was the founder of Poornodaya Movie Creations. He produced many blockbuster and critically acclaimed movies like Sankarabharanam, Swati Mutyam, Swayam Krushi, Sagara Sangamam, Aapad Bandhavudu, Sitara, Siri Siri Muvva etc.

Through Sankarabharanam, Edida even bagged the global fame. Siri Siri Muvva and Swati Mutyam films are showcased at the Moscow Film Festival, which is a very rare credit to Telugu films.

Huge number of movies produced by him won the Filmfare awards, Nandi awards and screening his international film festivals has become a regular thing in those days.

Edida Nageshwara Rao produced those films, where every Telugu audience can raise the collars and those films can act as the dictionaries for the aspiring filmmakers.  Hope his soul rest in peace and wish such proud film makers continue to come in the future.
