HC issues notice to Rajinikanth

On Monday, the Madras High Court has issued notice to Rajinikanth, regarding the complaint given by a financier seeking to initiate action against Kasthoori Raja, father of the actor's son-in-law.

“Regarding the film shoot of ‘Mey Hoon Rajinikanth’ in 2012, Kasturi Raja, took a finance of Rs.65 lakhs from a financier named Mukund Bothra. On the failure of his repayment, he assured Rajinikanth would repay the money,” the complaint said.

But now, as Kasturi Raja is failing to repay the money, Rajini is being dragged into the issue as his name was used in assuring the payment.

Complaint was closed stating civil- Botra

“Initially, when the complaint was made to the police commissioner, without even inquiring about it, it was closed stating that, it was a civil one, and that was even a reason for cancellation of my criminal petition filed in the High Court” Botra stated

Presently, he had filed a Special Leave Petition in the Supreme Court against the High Court order, which is pending.

Botra stated that, “Rajini was aware of Kasthooriraja misusing his name, while borrowing the amount, but had not reacted against him. With this it can be confirmed, that, the duo performed some collusive activities and cheated me,” hinting to take action against Rajini too. However the response of Rajini regarding the notice is yet to be heard.
