It was announced before that the Jyothi Lakshmi trailer would be out on Charmi's birthday, that is on May 17th. As said, it is launched and has now become the hot topic in the Film Nagar.
Many of the film critics opined before that, why did Puri select a female oriented script when he is identified for creating good unique hero characters. In fact, most of his films do not reveal any importance for heroines. But, through Jyothi Lakshmi, he shelved off this rumor of him.
Puri could perfectly portray his style of heroism in a female too. The character of Charmi seems to be having the shades of Saroja character which was performed by Anushka in 'Vedam'.
The trailer starts on a romantic mode with few intimate scenes and that continues for about 30 seconds. Later on, Puri style of violence takes its place. Sampoornesh babu enters in this part of the trailer. After that, some romantic fragrance revolves again, but later Charmi is spotted in a massy saree attire where she even rides a bullet bike on that saree itself.
Especially, this saree style seems to be attracting the masses and moreover, it reminds about Vijaya Shanthi in 'Osey Ramulamma'. If this film clicks, then many more female oriented movies can be expected from the big directors too, which might even make the audience relaxed who are vexed with star studded action entertainers.
