Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was approached to play the baddie role in filmmaker Karan Johar's 'Shuddhi' however a confirmation is yet to arrive. But if Sanjay is roped, the project might get more delayed as he is serving 42 months sentence at Pune’s Yerwada jail for illegal possession of weapons during the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.
Karan Johar who earlier worked with Sanjay Dutt in the remake of Amitabh Bachchan's 1990 classic 'Agneepath,' was impressed and so offered the role. He recently met Sanjay and briefed about the role but did not get a consent yet. The sources said, Sanjay is very much up for the role but alloting the dates would be difficult.
The 'Munnabhai' actor landed in more troubles as the government has tightened the rules of furlough to the prisoners and hereafter they would be given three weeks furlough with no more extension at any cost. 'Shuddhi' will be directed by Karan Malhotra and Salman Khan is the lead.
