'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge' [DDLJ] is one of the most watched and wide popular film and has been running at Maratha Mandir theatre in Mumbai for the past 19 years. Currently DDLJ is in its 990th week run and will complete 1000 weeks in this December. However, Managing Director of Maratha Mandir, Manoj Desai and Yash Raj Films are considering to pull the film off screen after it completes 1000 weeks.

The decision to run the film further or not will not depend on the profit or loss as the show till today manages to attract decent amount of people.  Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge released in way back in 1995 and in 2013, the film is voted people’s most favourite feature film from the past 100 years of Indian cinema in a poll.

DDLJ made Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol huge stars and it was directed by Aditya Chopra.
