Popular Tamil actor Bala Murali Mohan has committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Chennai on Firday morning. Mohan was popular for his Horlicks ad and was called “Horlicks Mama.” He appeared in many commercials and later featured in television serials. Mohan is survived with wife Seetha Rani and a son who is currently pursuing masters in US.

Coming to the incident, Mohan is reported to have committed suicide when nobody was at home. His wife had been to party and when returned, Mohan failed to open the door. She spotted Mohan hanging from the window and reported to the police.

The police have sent the body for post mortem and are searching the home for any suicide note. But so far no note or any kind of evidence was found. The police are suspecting that Mohan took this bold step in depression. Apparently, Mohan has been short of offers for the past five to six months and was not happy with his career.
