Gabbar Singh was responsible for Jr NTR's downfall?

Ramayya Vasthavayaa has been getting a lot of mixed talk ever since its release. Producer Dil Raju agrees that those who had expectations for his banner were disappointed with the action overdose in the film. He also said that the high expectations after the success of Harish Shankar's Gabbar Singh were also responsible for the disappointment.

Dil Raju is dissecting the reasons why Jr NTR did not make it this time, despite scoring a hit with Baadshah. It is not the actor but the banner, he tries to analyse. He is telling those who are listening that the major problem was because his Sri Venkateswara Creations banner is majorly associated with family entertainers.

So, even though Harish Shankar delivered in the first half, there was a divide and disconnect in the second half. Audience are sure disconnected with the sudden change of NTR from youthful romantic to raging murderer. That’s what Dil Raju also agrees, saying that the first half has ensured that the film has given him a commercial success, if not something more.

One can’t help but wonder, if Ramayya Vasthavayya has not lived up to the expectations after the supreme confidence shown by the makers, how will Yevadu fare? There is no news yet of Charan and Shruti Hassan’s film. But, Dil Raju has so far hasn’t shown much enthusiasm over it. Can we safely assume it will be better than RV?
