Director Rajamouli's Eega stood center of attraction in the Filmfare awards function apart from Shruti Haasan's dance performance.

The 60th Filmfare Awards (South) function conducted at Novotel Hyderabad, Eega movie assumed prominence by getting the Best Film award, the Best Director award to Rajamouli, the Best Actress award to Samantha, the Best Supporting Actor award to Sudeep and also the best VFX.

Eega is closely followed by Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh.  Pawan Kalyan was announced as the Best Actor, Devi Sri Prasad who scored music in the movie as the best Music Director and Vaddepalli Srinivas was announced as the best male singer.

In addition to these, Life Time Achievement award was given to the legendary Bapu.  Julai, Raccha, Dhamarukham, Ishq, Businessman movies also were in the nominations.  

As usual the film fare awards function was starlit last night with many celebrities like A.R.Rahman, Dhanush, Anirudh Ravichander, Ramcharan, Allu Arjun, Allu Sirish, Rana, Shruti Haasan, Priyamani, Charmee, Lakshmi Manchu, Amala Pal, Tamannah, Nikesha Patel, Yami Gautam etc.

Ramcharan received award on behalf of Pawan Kalyan.  Whenever Eega was mentioned in the nominations and awards audience cheered more with claps.
