The veteran actor Nata Kireeti Dr.Rajendra Prasad who gave neat and healthy comedy to the Telugu audience was born on19th July 1956 at Nimmakuru,  incidentally in the residence of the legend actor NT Rama Rao.  He acted in about 170 films starting his career in the film industry in 1977 with "Sneham".

Rajendra Prasad received two Nandi awards one for "Erra Mandaram" in 1991 and another in "Aa Naluguru" in 2004.  He was given an honorary doctorate by Andhra University in 2012.

Rajendra Prasad at present is acting in the upcoming film "Noothilo Kappalu".   Although he acted in comedy roles and became famous, he proved his acting prowess by taking up Character roles in the later parts of his career.  Rajendra Prasad brought a new trend in the Telugu film industry.  In most of the films, he acted in main roles in the films but with a comedy role.  The trend is now continued by Allari Naresh.

Many comedy actors played main roles in the movies but the number was restricted to one or two.  But Rajendra Prasad acted in many movies playing main roles in them with comedy touch.  Although Rajendra Prasad is having good looks, good physique and acting talent suitable for an action hero also, he took up only comedy roles and soft supporting roles in majority of his movies.
