In a recent interview, when asked how she feels about the tides turning for her, Shruti Hassan retorted that she does not believe in the iron leg and gold leg concept. It was a bone of contention for Shruti as her earlier films did not do well commercially.

She explained that her performances and roles were well appreciated by everyone, but it was unfortunate that the films flopped. Her earliest film, Luck, showed her in a double role, but did not do well as expected. Later, she said, the film 3 is one of the closest to her heart. It exposed her to the workings of the film surroundings.

With Gabbar Singh and Balupu, she is now associated with hits. According to the tall and slim Shruti, it is not the matter of iron leg or gold leg. Interestingly, even Pawan Kalyan and Ravi Teja have scored hits with the respective films after a chain of flops.
