Single window for shootings in India

Cannes film festival 2013 made a special place on the red carpet recognizing India as a special guest of honor as the country is celebrating its completing 100 years of Indian cinema.  

The Union Tourism Minister Chiranjeevi who participated in the Cannes along with his wife Surekha, son Ramcharan Teja and daughter in law Upasana made the announcement that many places with rich locales are identified in India for the International film making.  He said that the movie ‘Life of Pi’ is an example to capture the beautiful locations available in India.  

Chiranjeevi announced a single window system will be set to give permission for the International film makers to shoot in India.  He also said that this opportunity can be availed by the native producers to enter in to partnership agreements with the International film makers. 

Chiranjeevi congratulated Ang Lee the director of the movie ‘Life of PI’ to choose beautiful locations in India for the film. He said on the occasion that fortunately the atmosphere of India suits film shooting on all 365 days of the year.
