The Government announced the list of recipients who are set get the four Padma Vibhushan awards, 24 Padma Bhushan and 80 Padma Shri awards.
Among the well known celebrities bagging the awards are noted filmmaker Bapu who would be awarded the Padma Bhushan Shri, while Guinness record holding Producer D Ramanaidu gets the Padma Bhushan. Versatile actress who made a recent comeback after a hiatus of 15 years, Sri Devi bags the Padma Shri award.
The celebrations at Delhi would have representation from each state and the presentations by the armed forces.
The President Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and the UP Chairperson are expected to be a part of the massive event while the President will take the honors. (Wishesh AarKay)
