Actress Shruti Haasan has said that to become a successful actor mere talent would be not be sufficient. She was of the opinion that an actor needs to know what happens behind the camera in order to make himself/herself a better actor. She even said that although she came from the family of actors, she personally didn't known anything about acting until she first started her project.

It is known that Shruti Haasan is the daughter of the universal actor Kamal Haasan. She acted in a couple of films in Hindi and Tamil before she received a good break in the form of Gabbar Singh. Shruti Haasan is currently working on two projects in Telugu-Balupu and Yevadu, and one project in Hindi by Prabhu Deva. The Hindi flick, which she's busy shooting with, is the remake of Telugu film Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. The movie name was finalized as Rammayya Vastavayya.
