The news is that Samantha has signed to act in Shankar’s directorial new film starting Chiyan Vikram. It is a bilingual flick which she plays the lead female role opposite Vikram.

There is twist in the story here. We all know that Shankar has conditions for his heroines. They should not act in any other movie till he completes the project. So, Samantha should not be giving dates to anyone till Shankar’s movie completion.

Yes, Samantha is lucky to get a chance in Shankar’s direction but at the cost of all other movies during this period? Is it really a risk worth taking?

We all know what happened to once most happening heroine Shreya. She was on top of the career charts and got an offer to act in SIvaji opposite Rajinikanth which was directed by Shankar. Who would say no to acting with Rajni sir? The film which Shreya thought will take her to new heights was dropped to the floor die to this same condition which was put by Shankar. No date to others till the movie is completed.

Now in the same stage is Samantha. She has big movies in hand now like Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Auto Nagar Surya, Yeto Vellipoindi Manasu and one more movie opposite Siddharth.

She is riding high and now has to take a break till Shankar’s movie is completed. Hope people will encourage her and she will get chances after that movie too.
