Rs 6.5 Cores Gandharva Mahal set

Bringing life to imagination is a colossal task, and art directors are known for it. Some time back one art director made the Taj Mahal like for a movie and in another Madurai Meenakshi Temple was put up. With technology expanding and budgets never considered a constraint the creators are living beyond their dreams. Such is the case for the Manchu siblings who have put up a massive set for their forth coming flick Oo Kodathara Ullikki Padathara. The massive Gandharva Mahal speaks volumes about the technology advancement tinsel world has undergone in the recent past.

Speaking about the set Producer Lakshmi Manchu says, "Many wondered why we spent so much on the set, but, in fact, there is an intimate relationship between the characters and the Mahal.  Some industry biggies who have been to the sets congratulated me."  Industry pundits however speculate that a massive chunk must have gone into the making of the Mahal. On the other hand purist feels that the set should have cost the team over Rs 6.5Cr, while others argue. Forget the cost the Mahal on itself is marvelous creation say all.

Sibling’s proud father and versatile veteran actor Mohan Babu was all of praise for the team’s output. He also acknowledged the magnanimity of Nandamuri Balakrishna (NBK) for enacting a prominent role in the flick. Though skeptical about the capacities of the Director Sekhar Raja, initially, the veteran remarked that, “After watching the rushes, I am awe-struck.  This film will be a big hit for both Manoj and Lakshmi."

Another Veteran, Dr Dasari Narayanarao who was also present at the event marked to release the logo, gave thumbs up to NBK. On his part the actor acknowledged the seniors wishes as blessings and admitted, "The title did not settle quickly for me.  Once I was on the job, my enthusiasm levels only increased. Sekhar Raja's story-telling and filmmaking are both good.”  (With Inputs from Internet- Aarkay)
