WhatsApp May Be Seized In India If Regulations Kick In:- Some of the social media companies that are operating from India are threatening the government regulations. WhatsApp has India as one of the biggest market in the world with over 200 million users while the entire world has 1.5 billion users for WhatsApp. "Of the proposed regulations, the one which concerns us the most is the emphasis on traceability of messages," Carl Woog, WhatsApp's Head of Communications, told. If the traceability of messages is made public, WhatsApp is of no use informed Carl.
WhatsApp rejected these proposals explaining that even WhatsApp has no chance to see the messages which can be seen by the sender and the recipient. WhatsApp is used across the globe because of the strong privacy in the content. Making changes as per their requirement makes WhatsApp a new one and is of no use. WhatsApp is ready to be seized in the country if the new regulations are forced to be implemented. Woog also revealed that the discussions are on and they are not in a mood to lose a market like India.
