Ugadi bids well for Pune and RCB

Ugadi has showered fortune for Pune Warriors India and Royal Challengers Bangalore. They had managed to win emphatically on Thursday as the two teams thrashed their opponents.

Despite valiant efforts by the skipper of KKR, Gautham Gambhir, the team failed to secure a win after Chris Gayle's mostrosity on the ground. He managed to get 85 off his willow in just 50 balls, driving RCB to a victory with over two overs remaining in hand as they went past the target of 154.

Pune which failed to win even a single game of the two earlier games played has broken the deadlock with its resounding victory over Rajasthan Royals. Aaron Finch with support from Robin Uthappa helped chase the decent target of 146. Carefully building up their score, Pune's first success was not losing too many wickets. The rest was merely persistence at the crease.
