Virender Sehwag boldly challenges about his Test comeback!

Virender Sehwag remained boldly challenges about making a Test comeback after the national selectors decided to drop the veteran opening batsman from India's 14-man Test squad for the remaining two Tests against the Visiting Australian team.

Sehwag said that there is no question of retirement and that his career is not yet over and that he will make a comeback on Thursday.

On Thursday, the BCCI selectors met and announced the squad with Sehwag being the only casualty as the Sandip Patil-led committed decided to prune the squad from 15 to 14 players.

Moreover, the news was not unexpected and that Sehwag has managed just 27 runs in three innings against Australia to extend a poor run of form. In 21 Test innings since the tour of Australia, he has managed one century and two fifties. Since scoring a long overdue century against England in Ahmedabad in November, his scores read: 25, 30, 9, 23, 49, 0, 19, 2 and 6.

To say more, in the last five years, the best he has come up with outside of Asia is 67, and he averages a paltry 22.73 away from friendly conditions.

To conclude, with no replacement named for Sehwag, the likely candidate to partner Murali Vijay is the uncapped Delhi batsman Shikhar Dhawan having Ajinkya Rahane, a top-order batsman in domestic cricket, also in the squad and could come into the frame for the Mohali Test starting March 14.

The final Test will be held in Delhi on March 22.

It's all about being spirited towards one's achievement, as in case of Sehwag who is a star player in Indian Cricket as well World Cricket and we have lot more to see from him.

A good luck for Sehwag!
