Deccan Chargers, the team that was scrapped after the franchise owner, Deccan Chronicle no longer could afford to pay the players has been picked up by Sun Network in the auction. But Sun Network apparently were not pleased to use Deccan in the name and decided to change the name altogether.

The Deccan Chargers shall henceforth be called Sun Risers. That sounds a bit awkward doesn't it; especially after being accustomed to the Deccan Chargers name along with an energetic theme song and a raging bull logo, that exemplified nothing from the team though!

However, you cannot complain or protest against it and all you can do is get accustomed to using the name, Sun Risers. Here, we said it another time, so you can feel better doing it further in the seasons.
