No revenge for India, Test series at 1-1

Clinching the first test with a big lead, India had come on to the Mumbai’s Wankhede stadium with better hopes and confidence to take the test towards a whitewash but their dreams are short lived and they have to wait for another season to avenge their debacle in England a couple of years ago, when the home team swept the sheet cleanwith 4-0. India lose the second test match today after losing all their wickets to the Brits as the latter cinched a victory with excellent bowling from Panesar and Swann who managed to restrict India to a measly 142 in the second innings. They emerged victorious after scoring just 58 runs in their second innings today at Mumbai.

With a poor score of just 327 in the first Innings, India passed the match to England who didn’t quite outperform the Indian team but did fairly well with 413 runs on board with a slight lead over India. It was the second test innings that went completely wrong for the Indians and just as England wanted it to be. In just 10 overs of their second innings, England beat India by 10 wickets while the home team had to hide their faces in shame. The test series is currently tied at 1-1 with both teams claiming a decent victory each. Monty Panesar with his impressive bowling is most likely to be pronounced the man of the match for the second test.
