Old horses failed to fire once again at Oz

Yet another debacle is on the heels for Team India, who are yet to get over the midnight blues. Another failure of the seniors added to the problems of Team India on the fourth day at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, Australia, against the home team. India is all set to loose against Australia in the Test series, with not a moment to be proud of. Well the only heartening is that this the first test in the 4-test series that the audience will have a chance to view the fifth day’s play. While due credits must be given to the Oz bowlers, it is the failure of the batsmen that wrecks the chances of the tourists.

The score analysis Australia scores 604/7 in the first innings and 167/5 in the second innings. In both the innings the hosts declared. On the contrary India was limping all along. In the first innings the tourists made a 272 all out. And in the second innings are literally in bad shape with 166/6 at the end of 56th over, which was the end of the days play. The gap between the teams is 334 runs and Indians are supposed to give the hosts a timid reply. In all probability the tourists might pack their belongings by noon tomorrow.

The days play must give due credits to the Australian bowlers who played havoc on the timid tourists. Ryan Harris claimed 2 wickets and Nathan Lyon claimed three pricey wickets of Sehwag, Sachin and Laxman. So it is the sad story repeating again for Team India.  AarKay
