Panasonic Unveils Two New Devices In Its Video Door Phone Portfolio

A Japanese multinational electronics corporation, Panasonic, has unveiled its Video Door portfolio, with the launch of its VL-V590 and VL-V900 devices in the market.

The products are designed to enhance the surveillance and security needs of consumers, and has other imperative features like location monitoring, electric lock release, multiple household connectivity and wireless connectivity.

The VL – V590 comes embedded with characteristics like the electric lock release and a connectivity of up to 20 households. It also enables the connection of any combination of 7-inch wired monitors and 6 wireless monitors with intercom calling facility respectively.

The product, is especially optimal for establishments such as apartments. It allows the user, to install the device, with the help of a PIN lock code as well. The product is estimated to cost around Rs. 29,990.

Coming to the VL – V900 product, this is a multi-door video intercom system, with a combination of private branch exchange (PBX) and cameras which can connect up to 18 lobby stations and 560 monitors for large apartment buildings.

This product, follows the concept of internet of things and enables the user to answer visitors, after looking at them, through the connected smart phone. This device is ideal for establishments like townships and condominium. It further, lets the user record images of visitors, monitor common surveillance rooms and notify of accidents to reception or another station via a PBX. This product is estimated to cost around Rs. 87,749, much higher than VL – V590.

Sooner, Panasonic aims to launch other video intercom products like the VL – SW274 and VL – SV71, as it continues to expand its presence within the segment.

Panasonic, Sourcing and Supplier Development (SSD), Vijay Wadhwan, said, “At Panasonic, security for us is the primary and the utmost requirement associated with any device. Obliging to this, we have come out with a new line of products that enables consumers to monitor their belongings from the palm of their hands.”
