Google acquires Toro

Internet giant, Google has bought mobile marketing company, Toro but the financial terms of the deal was not disclosed. Toro announced the acquisition via its blog which stated, “With greater resources and distribution now available at our disposal, we're excited to join Google and continue our mission of making the lives of app developers easier.”

Toro helps developers market their apps on social media platforms like Facebook and provides services and tools to help software makers boost their user numbers. Toro was originally known as Red Hot Labs Inc which was founded by Amitt Mahajan and Joel Poloney. Toro the creator of FarmVille introduced it in Facebook which got a tremendous response. However, the company has announced that it won't create any new campaigns and would continue its support to the existing customers.

Toro has raised USD 1.5 million funds from investors and Google Inc will compensate the amount which means the deal was done for a fancy price tag say the trade analysts.
